PLEASE I BEG OF YOU FOR THIS! I really don't want to leave this game but I really am growing tired of all the urine in the wind. Its not just 1 its many.

Yes, it gets bad when you have to put a parental block on the message boards so Chase and Ally can't read the craziness. I prefer the in-league banter among 11 buddies. Speaking of which, you have been one of my favorite competitors over the years.
We need to set up an invitational league to kick off the new card set. What do ya' think? We'll call it "FBOL" (Friendly Banter Only League). We can both invite 5 of our best buddies and make it a party.

Wavy, I used almost all your scripts. The one I miss most is the one that put ballpark HRs on the screen. And I wish their simulation posted F#s like yours did. Taught me a lot about how HAL 'thinks'. Thanks for all that work you put in.

Maybe a thread dedicated to these scripts should get started?

I second this idea. I would love to get more in-browser tools from people if they are being created.

From around 2005 to 2010, I would do anything to get an edge and find/create/purchase any tools I could find. I got burned out as baseball players turned into mathematical formulas. It got to the point where I was looking at just data and forgot to have fun. The past 4 years I haven't subscribed or even seen any of the cool player evaluation tools that are available.
I have simply gone back in time and just look at player cards at face value and determine without backup data to determine the top value players.
Using the "winging it" method the past 4 years, the game is back being "a game". I still play almost entirely against wily veterans (no public leagues) and still play over .500 ball and still make more than the 33 percent playoffs and win more than 8.3 percent of the championships.
In some leagues I feel it's me against 11 Billy Beanes. My old school dinosaur "gut feeling" tactics have done me well.

No thanks to the graphs and charts anymore. It's a pleasure.

Kev, The question is were you performing even better between 2005-10 than you are now. Are you now settling for lesser results or are you saying that winging it works just as well or better than crunching numbers?

You also didn't share with the community that part of your winging it strategy is to state in league mail how bad your team is and that they couldn't possibly do well so that you get all the HAL good luck mojo to carry you to the playoffs!

Randy, I've walked away from the charts and graphs, but I would never walk away from superstitions, voodoo curses, manipulating the Strato gods with reverse psychology. All those things are real. I have to continue to master those important aspects of the game.
