Where is Cory Kluber? I am loving the seasons Jason Kipnis and Michael Brantley are having. Could Kipnis in the running for some kind of "Comeback Player" award?....... I usually enjoy the All-Star game.

Kluber, outside of that one game, hasn't had a very good year and wasn't in the running. Kipnis, however, is definitely a front runner for the Comeback-Player-of-the-Year award; he's had an excellent year.

Kluber has had more than one good game, in fact it has been more like only one or two bad games. He has not received great run support but his Ks are high. Some consider the second half of last year and the first part of this year when picking all-stars.

I didn't say he had only one good game, I said that besides that awesome game, this wouldn't be a good year so far. He is 3-5 with a 3.52 ERA, albeit a 1.12 Whip. So, this is a drop from last year so far.

Also, most baseball people and/or writers don't consider the second half of last year when picking their all-stars for a year. That's why it's called that year's all-stars, not the all-stars of this year and last. However, if you would like to pick such a team, I would truly be intrigued to see it.

Kluber is deserving. He went through a rough patch early on, but has been dominant since. The All-Star game is best when the game's best players are in it. When Kluber is on, he is historically good. His gem last month produced a Game Score of 98, good enough to be in the Top 20 Game Scores of all time. And he did it in 8 innings.

And Joc Pederson would get the NL ROY nod over Bryant if the season ended today.

First of all, I wasn't saying who should be in the All-Star game, I was making my All-star list of the best players at each positons this year. That being said, Kluber is not more deserving than these 5:

Sp. Felix Hernandez, Mariners--8-2, 2.63, 0.98
Sp. Sonny Gray, Athletics--6-2, 1.82 ERA, 0.97 Whip
Sp. Dallas Keuchel, Astros --7-1, 1.76 ERA, 0.91 Whip
Sp. Chris Archer, Rays--6-4, 2.01 ERA, 0.96 Whip
Sp. NIck Martinez, Rangers--4-1, 2.03 ERA, 1.26 Whip

And yes, Joc Pederson has gone on a tear since I posted this 4 days ago, so I would agree he has passed Bryant in the rankings.
