Will his card be a dual 1 (SS and 2B)?
I'm not a fan of WAR or those others mumbo jumbo stats, but this article discusses his numbers.

I searched back to 2010, no IFs had a 1 in more than 1 position, then I checked ATG 8 and only 2 infielders existed that are rated a 1 in multiple IF positions (many more examples of OFs though):

Ray Dandridge at 2b and 3b (a ss-3e56? in between the two "1"s)
Newt Allen at ss and 2b

Not much of a precedent for it.

Top it off how often do you see players new to the league get good defensive ratings. SOM is notorious for giving younger players worse defensive ratings. Doesn't mean they will, but 2/2 seems much more likely.

He could even be a 3 at one of those positions. I am not saying that is what he deserves but it would not shock me that much if that is what he gets.... One of the reasons Frankie Lindor will not get a 1 and may not even get a 2 is because it will make the Cleveland Indians too good. Remember SOM's goal is to make a "as played" replay as realistic as possible. That means they want to make sure their stock teams finish with close to real life records when played as it were.

Wouldn't that be reason to give him a 1 at SS? To help make Cubs a 97 win team.

He's rated a much better 2B than a SS. If he was going to get a 1, it would be at 2B not SS.

The loss of Russell really hurt the Cubs defensively against the Mets. Although their hitting and pitching was subpar as well.

Schwarber in LF hurt them more defensively than missing Russel.
