If he does he's likely to be unleashed, 113 PA's with his numbers, no way he's in the regular player set for the online game.

I'll be just fine with unleashed :D

He had 98 ABs... He may well be carded in regular set

I know he had 98 AB's I added his walks and HPB to get his PA's and with it being under 100 AB's and his Outstanding Tulo like numbers I'll be shocked if he's not unleashed.

Simmons is still first, and with his reputation, will keep his 1. Hechevarria, B Crawford (both 1's in the past) are 2 and 3, and will more likely to be 1's. Next is Nick Ahmed,Didi Gregorius, Alcides Escobar and J.J. Hardy. With Dide, JJ and Alcides being 1's already, they should keep theirs.

Again, SOM rarely gives 1's to rookies. So no idea on Ahmed, Lindor or Russel, but I would bet on the other 6 to get 1's before those 3.

BTW, Tulo is 10th and still a better bet to be 1 than any rookie.

Where does one get that info? That would be interesting to see.

Fangraphs chart all the defensive metrics as well as offensive. Great site, especially with the pre-card drafts ;)

On Fangraphs you can come up with some different results using the different advanced defensive stats. By Def (Fielding runs above average plus an adjustment for position) Lindor is 5th and Russell is 10th. By UZR/150 Russell is actually ahead of Lindor and Simmons. And by range (RngR) Ahmed is 1st and Lindor is 2nd, Russell comes 6th.

Does being the starting shortstop through the playoffs get Seager any benefit of the doubt?
I know they do not count playoff numbers in putting together cards. But it would seem to me Seager has to have a card in the regular set for those replay people who will want to replay playoffs with the roster/lineup from real life. And if he is in regular carded set and not just the larger computer roster could be he an exception to the rule and get in the regular online set although he is borderline on playing time?

No it won't, anymore than starting pitchers used as relievers in the post season do.

Soler got a regular card this year with 97 PA's. Granted his numbers were not as good as Seager's but Seager's numbers are not beyond ridiculous and had 113 PA's.
Admittedly. I am biased as a Seager owner but I am hoping for a regular card.

Lindor gets a 1e17 and Russell get a 2e12 at SS (Russell also gets a 2e18 at 2B)

Now seems that Simmons and Lindor are the 2 best defensive SS's in MLB
