Why aren't "Hitter Prefs" avail for pitchers (Non DH Leag)

I'm in a league with veteran managers, and the question came up, which is a good one.

Why aren't "Hitter Preferences" available for pitchers in NON DH leagues?

In my opinion this should absolutely exist, the example that came up was that Sandy Koufax was pulled for a pinch hitter in a tied game in the 7th inning. While there are arguments pro and con to this strategy decision, it should be a manager setting we should be able to control.

We should be able to pull the same levers for the pitchers hitting cards as we do for the other batters. To me it's the same as clicking "don't PH" for the light hitting ss/2b 1s. I would want Koufax with a don't PH setting and let the Bullpen settings determine when he comes out.

Am I off on this one??

you are spot on, as always. I would like to have that option.

It seems like it would make for a nice option, and not so difficult.

Being able to discourage HAL from pinch hitting so much for pitchers might get more to play in non-DH leagues. I think some people who are not DH fans still prefer DH leagues, especially at higher caps, simply because they do not want to be losing their expensive starters early in games to pinch hitters.

Perhaps an additional setting that would tell Hal to be normal, conservative, or aggressive. Though I realize that option is not in the cdrom game and thus not going to be in the online game. But it would be a nice improvement to their product to have it in both.

Another reason to have individual settings for pitchers is a recent thread showing that apparently each pitcher has their own steal ratings. If that is true I would like a means of identifying who they are, what the steal ratings are, and then have the ability to say steal more or don't steal. Might choose to set Bumgarner to bunt less.
