Playing CF - 3

Thinking of playing Harper in CF in Miller Park. Would have Bautista in RF, Davis at 1b, Cruz at DH. Would Harper a (3) in CF be too much of a negative to off set the additional offense?

On the statistical difference between CF-3(X) and CF-2(X), defense equivalent chart link

As it goes, the choice depends on the RF replacement for Harper or what is left to play CF.

As you currently have Joc Pederson in CF, I'd stick with him. Lesser options would be injury prone Pham or Adam Jones.

Bautista's bat and RF-3(-1) glove don't compensate for Harper playing out in CF.

just saying ... I'd concentrate on the left side of the field for upgrades. ;)

Could you please give me a brief explanation as to how to use these with the Strat ratings book. If I was going to compare say a player with 40 OB and 40 TB to one with 35 OB and 35 TB, how would I use the numbers in this defensive chart to make an equal comparison to decide which player if the 35/35 say has better defense? Do the numbers in the AB column match up exactly? The per game column? Or does some multiplier have to be added etc? Thank you in advance to whoever can explain this to me. :) I wonder why there is no catcher chart? Does anyone know where to find something that quantifies catcher's defense?
