The cards adjust slowly. The formula takes into account long term/career trends and are not super sensitive to one week or "who is hot" trends. However, that being said, one may definitely see a higher performing cards at the beginning of a season will tail off and the opposite as well. The cards themselves do not mirror the 200# yearly cards much. I personally like shopping for bargains and they are there. I also being a more active roster manager enjoy the roster adjustments that are necessary in the course of a season. Another factor is if the league is set up using the super advanced injury system or not. SOM has made some adjustments post-beta to that and has helped. IMO-- I think we need to give the game time and as it is, I certainly enjoy the variety and keeping up with the current MLB stats and trends. I salute SOM in this endeavor to keep up with the growing fantasy stat popularity.
Glad to contribute to your questions sir. Hope to see you on the league rosters.
