I have to agree with Ursoid---that throw has to go home, it's the winning run.
Hard to believe the AI is that poor. (not really--with online) I have never seen that happen in the CD rom version of the game.
Not positive, but the safe odds are limited to 95% (1-19)--at least they were in older versions of the game. Anyway Calhoun has a -4 arm--with 1-16 running that's a 40% chance to throw him out.
Edit 9/14 --- I realized that was a FLY-X to RF--probably an F2 result--which is what I a call a hard flyball-b instead of a fly-b?--a runner at 2nd can tag and try to advance on a F2 to the outfield--this is what happened, but the out should not count as the game was over if the run scored, or the out should have counted and the game remained tied. That all depends on whether the runner to third was tagged before the runner to home touched the plate. A rare situation, but I will give SOM a pass on this one.
Still the best pitched SOM game I have seen--makes me think of HARVEY HADDIX 12 inning perfecto, only to lose in 13--what a tough luck big league game.
