DOWNER. No flexibility post AD. As a consequence, it is VERY risky to draft for an extreme stadium. For example, target a hitter with many ballpark effect HR for your hitters stadium and get stuck with a high priced singles hitter. Now you are pretty much stuck. The only benefit is that it encourages pre-waiver trading (to fix AD mishaps). I think you will see an increase in medium stadium use unless you like to gamble a little (no comment on my propensity).

Which begs the question: why the need for 14 pitchers?

Talk about a solution looking for a problem...
What a boring post draft, pre-waiver period this new rule creates. No flexibility whatsoever.
Booo....

I brought this issue up to SOM and they replied:

We have seen and appreciate the feedback on this. We do understand how this can take away flexibility during the waiver process. We have investigated other improvements in the draft process that would allow users to get this flexibility back; specifically the ability to draft between the set's minimum and maximum number of players as opposed to the set 25 man draft. If this feature is implemented we hope it would eliminate any concerns about the waiver flexibility.

So, now they are trying to solve a problem that they created, "fixing" a part of the game that wasn't needing "fixing". What about the issues that have been raised about the game problems -- in game injury replacement, RP usages, etc? Did anybody actually request this "fix"?
