lineup

PostSat Aug 22, 2020 11:52 pm

I am wondering why my cleanup batter ended up as a leadoff hitter in my last game. My lineup has been set for a while now and can't think of a reason he was moved to a leadoff spot when I didn't do it. Computer glich or something.??

By any chance was your regular leadoff hitter injured? Your whole lineup will get scrambled when that happens.

Sometimes HAL scrambles the lineup if you have a good hitter go down in one of the top spots in the order, and your replacement is just not a good fit. Like if your leadoff hitter is high OBP and a fast runner and your backup is low OBP and slow afoot, the replacement might hit 9th and your highest OBP guy might be moved up.

I notice this most with the 1, 3 and 4 slots in the order.
