Can anybody help me with my bullpen, I have a 3 inning reliever who is always only used for 1 inning? any help would be great and whats the best number to set a starting pitcher who is a (7) but would like him to go past that? thanks...

im relatively new, so don't take my words as "Hoyle", but

to my knowledge, setting RP to "slow hook" and to not avoid any RHB or LHB should be the most you can do for him...also maybe set him as "middle man" or "set up" rather than closer ?......HAL might think closers should only go and inning or so, not sure about this last part

you could also set the other RP to "quick hook", which might indicate to HAL to prevent them from going longer.....you could also reduce the number of guys in your pen, but that would probably be my last resort after trying all others

for the SP, the only two things I know are "slow hook" and to set the "F" rating to whichever fatigue factor you want that guy to stay in until.....ive been told (and probably seen myself), that HAL won't follow that religiously, and still remove the SP sometimes for pinchhitter or RP, but those are the only two things I know of to possibly extend SP length in games

sure others with more experience could elaborate/confirm/correct the above feedback

Thanks Big Fred, Ive done all that, Its not my closer who isn't staying in to pitch its my / setup guy and or middle relief seeing he's a 3 inning reliever, he has yet to go more than 1 inning? yes he gets removed for pitch hitters also I dont get that after using a specialist for 1 batter then removes them and then pinch hits for the pitcher so 2 pitchers in 1 inning only getting 3 outs when logic would be use the pitcher another inning as a batter an sac if a runner is on but this part of the bullpen is killing my season along with removing my starters to early and I have relief usage set as normal? I was hoping the pro's here could tell me how I can get Greinke to get past 6 innings 6 hits 1 run over and over, and hes not fatigue? I have him set at number 3, I know 0 means leave him in all day long it goes backwards so I dont get it HAL just doesnt like me I guess,

Ok, I will never post here again, I asked about a relief pitcher pitching more than 1 inning well yesterday that pitcher gave up 9 hits in a row? wasn't replaced and all on the hitters cards 6 runs later another loss, was up 10-7 going into the 9th, next game runners on 1st and 2nd, 2 outs batter hits a 1-2 triple lose 2-1, final game of the series up 3-1 walk, walk, lefty comes to bat Ballpark is a 1, the roll 1-2 ( # ) Boom HR, hits the number 1 game over, what are the odds? very depressing ,,,had just climbed back into reach and now 6 straight losses, good times
