Can someone explain to me why, in the ATG set, Dennis Eckersley (1990, 48 saves) and Willie Hernandez (1984, 32 saves) both got a N rating meaning they cannot close a game. That's a bit odd or there's something I don't know.
There are several closers who have no closer rating (only from certain years, maybe?) You can just ignore it, as I don't think closer ratings are used in ATG anyway (someone please tell me if I'm wrong.)
The closer rating was introduced in the 90s so older cards won't have them. It's a cursed rule meant to force replayers to use actual closers in save situations. Thankfully ATG does not have to deal with it.
