Is 2024 Kauffman stadium...

PostSat Oct 25, 2025 5:45 pm

... considered to be a pitchers or a hitters park?

With 16-19/4-7 ratings, I was thinking it was a hitters park, due to how high the singles are (80% for LHB and 95% for RHB), but the ratings for HR are less than 50% (20% for LHB and 35% for RHB). Reason I'm asking is, trying to figure out if I should target expensive pitchers for that park or if it's better to focus on hitters.

Also, what are best hitters to use in Kauffman?

Can also get cheaper SP with more BPHR chances because you play 81 games at home. Want a catcher and outfielders with strong arms others will try and run.

Thank you for the responses. That is helpful information. Sounds like Kauffman is considered to be a hitter's park?

Better to focus money spending maybe on guys like .... ?

C JT Realmuto (-2 arm) D13, .266 BAV
1B Bryce Harper C13, .285 BAV
2B Jose Iglesias B13, .337 BAV
SS Bobby Witt A17, .332 BAV
3B Luis Rengifo A14, .300 BAV
LF Stevan Kwan (-3 arm) B14, .292 BAV
CF Cody Bellinger (-2 arm) C25, .266 BAV
RF Aaron Judge (-4 arm) B13, .322 BAV
DH Tyler Fitzgerald A17, .280 BAV

Go for cheaper pitchers like....?

$0.83 Paul Blackman
$1.59 Hayden Birdsong

Witt and Judge will be gone in the 1st rd pick. Birdsong can be had very late. If you get a late rd pick 8-12 you won't get either. It isn't a power park so straight HOMERUNS will only work. I have Judge at Oakland 1-2 and 1-2 he has 20 HR's at game 81. It is a keeper and next year it will be Sacramento and the balls fly, he will hit at least 60 next year.

Well, him, Raleigh, Stowers, Goodman and Kurtz but just tooting my horn now.

Nothing wrong with that! :) I'm hoping to have reason for self horn tooting in my next league, using Kauffman. Thanks for the info on Judge and Witt, and getting straight HR hitters. All makes sense.

You want hitters with high on base, hits & doubles.

Don't pay for guys wit ballpark homers.
