That is why I try to propose "fair" trades, ones that will truly benefit both teams.

There is no monetary penalty for trading, as there is in acquiring the free agents...

I have an idea:
Would you be more likely to ponder trades, and invest time in looking for potential trades....
IF.....you received a 5% bonus reflecting the salaries involved in the trade?

For instance,....if a trade package of 1 team sending 10.00 million dollar salaries to another, who is sending them salaries worth 9.50 million.

One team gets a .50 million bonus,...the other gets .47.5 million...

It's not a huge amount but can be helpful, and provide some trade incentive.
I'd like to have that option in a league, and try it out....I think trades really are fun to configure and they are sadly missing from this game.

Any thoughts?

If you like trading, you ought to make your way over to the Individual League Chat part of the msg boards and see if you can get in on one of the keeper leagues. Tons of trading going on there as there is multi-year continuity. You can make asymetrical trades where you trade future players for now (or visa versa). Maybe trade where you are positionally strong for weak. Trade for picks (both FA/general and prospect picks). It's great.

I'm a commissioner of one of those keeper leagues. We have an opening for one of the teams at the moment. If you're interested in a league with the same team owners, opportunities to trade to fit weaknesses on your teams, balancing current team success with future team success, and have the availability to be on the Individual League Chat to make picks when your team is up, a keeper league could be fun for you.

You can send me a private message or message me back here if you have any questions.

Here's the league thread that includes a link to a google doc with the players on the available team: https://forum-365.strat-o-matic.com/com ... 3b70906aae
