Poll: IS Stre***r antagonistic in his posts?

PostWed Dec 17, 2014 6:34 pm

In honor of the fact that it seems like a number of people both on the ATG and 20XX forums feel that one individual is essentially making it difficult to talk about actual baseball, we thought maybe this poll would either make it clear to him, or clear to those of us that we are in the wrong in accusing him of this.

If you want another option, just post and Ill add it.

Have at it...

Comments are also welcome.

he defines the word obnoxious pr**k but i defend his right to be one. we've had it out several times and that's alright by me. i hate censorship because it's a slippery slope that never ends. he's also a damn good manager.

I've been around since ATG4 and have never seen him in any leagues.

The point here is not censorship. It is to get him to acknowledge how socially inept he is and perhaps try to be less destructive to the community. Most people admire and praise this community of Strat followers and try to contribute to a stronger community. Strecher even admits he does not care about us community members or what we think. We in this community have not come across such blatant arrogance and reply to him pointing out his disrespectful ways. Usually when members of this game are met with constructive criticism, they respect our opinion and become more tactful. He seems to be a very slow learner or simply takes pride in being as much of a jerk as this forum allows, kind of like a five year old pushing the boundaries to see what they can get away with.

Because he seems unable to comprehend simple constructive criticism, we try to explain his arrogance and disrespect in many different ways, searching for a remedial way to explain this so he might understand and improve. He then misinterprets our repeated efforts as some sort of fascination or obsession when we are just struggling, trying to find a way to communicate with someone that naive.

I'll echo everything that Scorehouse said except the "damn good manager part". I'll rank that incomplete haven't really played with him although I noticed that he punked out of the Players Championship this year after 2 75-76 win seasons while claiming it was Gbrookes' fault somehow for not changing the precise wording of the snakedraft rule for event 6-7 to his liking. But yeah, censorship is bad.

I also think that that this thread is perfectly legit. Since he claims repeatedly that he's not antagonistic it's fair game for someone to survey the peanut gallery. Prediction; a landslide victory for the "yes" side that would make even a two term President jealous.

Since this thread is devoted to me, I might as well respond to a few of these posts.

First of all, Badjam's calling me "Strecher"--is that an insult?--shows he's not coming from an unbiased place. Secondly, I said I don't care about members I don't respect--including Badjam, Salty, and Teamnasty--and what they think. Who does care about people they don't respect? i do care about what over 2000 other members think. Any of them are free at any time to confront me about any of my posts with which they had a problem. If they show me I have done wrong, I will gladly apologize.

Bj and Salty have followed me around the threads. They never talk about the thread subjects. They only want to talk to me about me. That is obsession. They never have given me any constructive criticism using actual posts. They have just made sad, personal attacks as they pursued their obsession. They are continuing it here with this "poll."

As to Teamnasty. I have dealt with him, and he has been rude to me many times. The fact he uses my leaving the Tourney (with good reason) as support for his unfounded "criticism" of me says a lot about it. I hope people criticizing me in the future at least use posts as support. Every forum member deserves that courtesy.

Strether-

The poll is here to show you that its not just myself, TeamNasty, Badjam, one or two others:
or not-
the results are still being tallied, which you are welcome to see at anytime.

Its sort of ironic that up until this point you are the only one who voted for anything other than antagonism.

Salty is on my foes list for good reason, so I can't read his posts. I did see, however, that he just posted his second comment on his own poll, and I'm sure it wasn't complimentary. Anyone who knows anything about polls and statistics knows the pollster's inappropriate attempts to sway his subjects completely compromises the poll's integrity.

He already got the poll off to a bad start with his terribly weighted questions. He completely ruined the poll's legitimacy with his lame, biased attempts to sway his "voters."

If someone actually wants to start a legitimate poll about me, I suggest they don't involve Salty... ;)

I'd be interested in a poll posted by you, about you.

I think you have a tendency of provoking others. That's why you are getting a bad rapport. In fact, your post in this very thread has many examples where you are provoking others.

Also, this should not be a place for "confronting" anyone.

You' say that, but you don't give and support or proof. Your criticism can only be constructive if you are specific. I didn't provoke or confront anybody in my last post. I factually addressed their posts about me; that is both allowed and appropriate.

If you think I tried to provoke or "confront" anybody here, please show me where and how. If you don't, you have just added more unsupported negative gossip about me to this thread's pile.

I truly would appreciate if somebody would actually support their criticism with evidence and make it constructive. That would actually make this terribly compromised poll worthwhile.
