Try unchecking and setting on him and letting HAL handle him.

Thanks -you are correct. I did have a slow hook.

The slow hook question is interesting to me - I have used slow hook ocassionally on stud starters, but I end up going away from it when they give up bad innings in the late innings of a game. I generally prefer F8 with quick hook - or nothing at all - for a stud starter. Other starters I leave unchecked, or I actually check quick hook with no F rating at all - just quick hook. But for a stud I leave it unchecked or F8 with quick hook. I've decided I really don't like starters pitching tired.

Interesting about Hernandez. He does look like he has a good card for a 4 man rotation. Let us know how it goes through the rest of the season with no check marks on the pitcher prefs!

Well despite closing with two nice starts Felix finished 18-19 with a 4.99 ERA and 1.43 WHIP.

in his defense the roll count was hitter biased 679-620 and hit did get 38 DPs. However, Cliff Lee remains a much better value and outpitched Felix.

Funny, I won a championship with Felix, but he really underperformed for me on that team. In the same number of innings, David Price allowed only 25 fewer baserunners and 9 fewer home runs, and yet that was the difference between 18-5 for Price and 12-14 for Felix. He just can't seem to get it done in this card set.

He did fine for me at PNC Park where league ERA was 4.37.

Big difference was his roll count for you was pro-pitcher 568-647. +79
my count was -59, for a total spread of +138 rolls on his card.

Felix had a pretty good season, leading my squad to a championship in Event 5 of the Player's Championship. In US Cellular he threw 317 innings with 335 K's, 72 BB's, a 3.38 ERA and 1.31 WHIP. He was 3-1 in the playoffs. His card was actually tilted toward hitters 677-653. The league ERA was 4.20.

Yep, agree there. It was a consistent card for me with F8 quick. I had him win 18-20 with sub 3.50 era in the 280-290 inning range a few times. And in hitters parks (rogers, arlington). Wish I could have nabbed him more often!
