nice team scumby. go to be an early favorite to win it all. my team is trying to come around. chapman is killing me, with 5 blown saves already. I can't believe how bad Hahn is to this point. I got slaughtered in my attempt to build a * staff. I will make it a top priority on future tams.

With those walk chances along with a +5 hold is bad then add the 20 wp and you have a batter walking all the way back to where he started. My mother could score on him and never take the bat off her shoulder or rip a hammy in this game.

lol, I think she did score on me last week. it was the old sb and an error trick. chapman will not be on my teams of the future. he'd be gone now if not for the stupid 20% glitch. despite my 4.04 era my team is red hot, winning 10 of 11. its going to be tough as my league best differential still has me in last place in my division. the top out of division team is only +7 in that category.
and btw chapman is currently leading my team in walks, while 7th in innings. :(

I am still loving ceasar hernandez as my bargain 2nd baseman. .302/.346/.378 and always seems to do the little things to help me win. he just came off the 15 day dl. my 62-41 team went 5-10 without him.

Through 126 games in my league......team is 69-57, which is 2nd-best record in the league to this point (best team is 70-56). Pitching has been really good on the starter side from Sonny Gray and Chris Sale; my closer Mark Melancon has been outstanding, and middle relief with Pedro Baez, George Kontos, and Jeff Manship has been really good too. We are in AT&T park. Offensively putting up decent overall numbers, but not from the guys you'd expect... I have CarGo with 18 HR's hitting under 0.200, Matt Carpenter at 3B hitting 0.220 with 15 dongs, and Joey Votto at 1B, hitting 0.284, 19 HRs and a 0.420 OBP. The overachievers on the team, and I can't say enough good about these guys, are Marwyn Gonzalez, who's my SS, and Brock Holt, my 2B--both solid .280 and surprisingly good defense, both for under 3 bucks. Oh, and Stephen Piscotty in LF, hitting 0.314 with 14 HR's and 0.371 OBP. Defense-wise, I'm thinking a "3" with a low error rating is at least on par with a "2" with a high error rating. Interested in what others think about that. In the 12-team auto-draft league I'm describing, the league ERA is 3.72 with a 1.25 WHIP; offensively, the slash line is 0.244/0.310/0.396.

What I'm starting to look at more critically in drafting players and signing free agents, is their actual home ball park. In the case of, say, CarGo, his 40 HRs in real life would probably be duplicated only if he plays in Coors, Miller, or Great American. Plus, his total worthlessness against lefties is a bigger detriment in the current season. In the league I'm in, one team has 4 lefty starters, and two others have 3 each. This seems to buck a trend in 2014, when lefty starters usually proved to be liabilities.

By contrast, my guess is that Buster Posey would hit 30 or more HR's in a home park other than AT&T.

with 24 games to go our league averages are .248/.314/.408 with a 3.95 era. average park is s/l8 r7 hr/10l 10r. my team is .264/.332/.445 era 3.72 my team is 4 games clear for a playoff spot but I'm scared. been very streaky to this point.
I agree that leftys are more prevalent this year.

Might be a good idea to share stats from leagues we've finished, to get an idea of who the better value players are. Very interesting to me to see which players perform close to their actual season stats, and which are way below. Can't say I see a lot of rhyme or reason to it. From my recently completed 12-team league, here are some numbers to chew on:

------SLUGGING PCT----- ------ON BASE PCT------ ---RUNSCREATED/27OUT---
F.Gutierrez oß .576 J.Votto PEC .431 B.Harper POR 9.0
B.Harper POR .568 B.Harper POR .419 P.Goldschmidt ALL 8.7
D.Valencia REY .565 P.Goldschmidt ALL .413 J.Votto PEC 8.3
D.Ortiz oß .560 M.Cabrera POR .386 M.Trout WAL 7.2
M.Trout WAL .546 M.Brantley ABU .369 D.Valencia REY 7.2
P.Goldschmidt ALL .540 J.Turner GIB .369 F.Gutierrez oß 6.9
C.Davis oß .531 M.Trout WAL .365 C.Davis oß 6.8
C.Correa REY .529 T.Thompson REY .365 T.Thompson REY 6.7
M.Sano ??? .528 D.Valencia REY .360 D.Ortiz oß 6.7
N.Cruz WAL .512 J.Donaldson WAL .360 M.Sano ??? 6.5
T.Thompson REY .498 A.McCutchen REY .359 C.Correa REY 6.4
T.Frazier GIB .492 E.Hosmer ??? .357 M.Cabrera POR 6.4

Danny Valencia and Carlos Correa look like especially good buys. Ditto Justin Turner, IMHO.

lol, this team was 15-22 at the time of this post. with no changes at all I took them into the finals last night. goldy won the mvp and eickhoff went 21-8 with a 2.77 at Wrigley.
in my league pedro alvarez seemed the best value, with 47 Camden hr's at under 2 bucks.
