Or it isn't happening today. All we have is rampant speculation based on historical precedent. ;)

True that

Urshela still not having a card is definitely one

He has a card:

Because he didn't have one in 2018 set, you needed his ID # from the 2017 set

I just figured that out, but they used a different # for the 2019 daily game

So it doesn't look like today is the day... But maybe tomorrow, or maybe we have to wait until next Thursday?

As for speculating on what day cards will drop, having done a little “govt” work in my time, we should follow this advice:

“Those that are saying, don’t know; and those that do know, aren’t saying.”

The answer is in the upside-down.

I would have thought they would try to get it out today (after not being ready yesterday) for a couple of reasons:

(1) It's a business. They time the release every year for optimal interest right after the start of spring training. They release it Thursday because customers know the games will start Monday. Thursday and not Friday because some owners will want to have enough time to check out cards. But they lose revenue if the release is pushed back. It might be argued that the revenue is just delayed a little (with no net loss) but I suspect they would wind up losing money with a delay because is this is prime time for sales. And release Monday or any time prior to Thursday is suboptimal as well because owners have to wait longer for games. Friday is not the best time but better than other options.

(2) They seemed close. Pricing was almost done. Sure, they had to make some adjustments on a few players but that should not take long.
