I have no clue either. It sounded like something my son and some of his gamer friends would say.

Apologies, I see the Nutty Professor is parsing my words again. My, he sure does like watching folks swim! Substantial contributions indeed.

I was recently playing some Electronic Battleship and "Target Destroyed" was stuck in my brain.

Target destroyed was simply a failed attempt to overemphasize that Badjam's post said everything I was thinking.
We can just stick with the "100% spot on", I'll concede the overemphasis out of sensitivity to others.

Alk, this game is all about the math. Can't throw in the towel because there's an element of luck, right?

Now, about that ORIGINAL question...

Like I have said to my wife a million times, what was the original question?

J-pav says "...goes through something like a 5-15 streak over the course of the season" This has happened to me to first 12 games of the season (2-10). No panic, team won 89 games and made the playoffs. Lost in the finals but I'll take that one credit.

A 5-15 usually happens to every team at some point. Just don't over react when it is the first twenty.

Sometimes I'll watch a team go up in flames without making moves just to learn more. Was it me or was it the dice that made Josh Gibson hit .280 over the entire season and get hurt over and over. To me, that's dice. In that case, I wait til the bitter end hoping Gibson goes on a tear. Normalization anyone? Next time around the same team would kick a$$. Believe it or not, even 162 games is kind of a small sample size for realistic dice results to kick in.

I see Nutty J-Pav still doesn't understand the meaning of the word "parse." And now we learn that phrases from "Electronic Battleship" actually stick in his brain. If he starts posting coordinates, he's going to really freak me out... ;)

Bad weekend, Patriots lose, I have an SOM team who must have the flu bug going through the clubhouse, and now my Battleship!

Wow, should not need to explain. My thoughts are 99% of the population knew you where just saying "You just put my thoughts into a shorter format" with your target destroyed comment.

"Target destroyed" is the equivalent of "you just put my thoughts into a shorter format?" I teach English for a living, but if Badjam could explain the semantics of this false equivalency, I'd let him sit in for a course... ;)
