Adderall, like Ritalin, is a stimulant that only has an inverse effect on those with ADD or ADHD. So, if Francouer didn't actually have it, the drugs just would have jacked him up even more. That wouldn't have been pretty.

I live in the town that Francouer grew up in, though I never saw him play High School ball---It was well known by the kids that played with him he would swing at anything--I remember over hearing a few of them talking, when he first came to the big leagues---"why do they ever throw him a strike???"---a lot of players just see the ball and swing, and can never learn to take their walks.

It actually amazes me to see how many major league hitters are like that.

Imagine how big a superstar Adam Jones would be if he had plate discipline.

Jake Smolinski!! Wow! .476 AVE., .500 OB%, .857 SLG% vs LHPs. Remember Posey's card from 2012? His stats vs LHPs were: .433/.470/.793 respectively. Posey's card had 62.6 OB rolls out of 108, plus BP effects. Using very basic math, Jake's card should be around 69 OB !! Regarding HRs, I think Jake should be around 14, plus 8 BP HRs!!
