I have said many times they should bring back the MLB forum. We had an ongoing thread there about the Rangers that had years of posts and contributions by multiple people. And it was the best baseball discussion board I was aware of. It kept me coming back to the boards to check on the MLB forum to see what new discussions were happening and then while on the site popped over to the online strat forums. Each fed the other.

Bringing back those MLB forums would go a long way towards making these forums worth visiting. And ultimately I believe would help drive sales of strat products.

I disagree completely with the poster who said, MLB is not related to Strat-O-Matic baseball. And while I agree that I. Strether has been too argumentative in the past he certainly knows his baseball .

Yes, it is easy to pile on Jason (I.Strether), and lord knows there have been times when he deserved it. However, he has never kept me from posting and I often enjoy his posts.

So let's do this right everyone. When you discuss who should win MVP or Cy Young, or ROY, etc. be sure and tack on at the end "should make for a nice strat card". Or perhaps "the year he is having should translate to a high strat salary next year". If you mention who might be the gold glove winner at a position be sure and tack on "that will give him a good shot at a 1 rating in the field and a 2 for certain.

Imagine if there were SOM online cards representing politicians. Hillary's would be blank. Trump wouldn't be able to be drafted to a team with Mexicans on it. Many of the GOP candidates would be priced at .50....

See, this CAN work if you want it to.

Actually, Hillary's card would be similar to Babe Ruth's '27 SOM card. However, the first time she dropped a fly ball, all the right-handed players in the league would launch a major investigation to "prove" she wasn't worthy of being MVP!
