Because it's the most logical thing to have happened.

As I said, SOM wants to strike while the iron is hot. They're going to make more money that way. They *know* guys a chomping at the bit.

In the past, they've jumped on it. This time... radio silence and a delayed release, what else could it be?

Why? No one knows. It's fun to guess, I guess.

The same people were likely working on this problem that were involved with the pricing so....

Once again, SOM has every motivation to get this out as early as possible.

Also, I actually think the last few seasons were about the same amount of time from the time the cards were released to the start of the SOMO launch. This year, to me, is clearly an outlier.

Is it my imagination, or was this the MOST UNDERSTATED debut of a card set in history?

We waited with baited breath and anticipated a late March release to coincide with baseball's Opening Day, and there it was. No fanfare, no hoopla, no banner to announce that it was here, it just was.
