Joe, that show sounds like House. Another great show btw, although it is crazy how you would never know Hugh Laurie is a Brit.

Oh, I missed where Joe was derogatory to you, Streth. My wife calls me Mr. Oblivious though so no surprise there.

It looks like your wife has you pegged, SLOT. You missed Mr. Bob's rude reference to me in his original post. If Mr. Bob says he doesn't think I have been rude, and wasn't referring to me in it, I will retract the "derogatory" statement. Now, let's move and on and talk baseball and TV like Jerlins did before your post.

By the way, Jerlins, thanks for the excellent post. Drogon is definitely the badass of Daenerys' dragons. I loved the clip, can't wait until next season, and am anxiously awaiting The Winds of Winter. We definitely need to start a Game of Throne's fans league. Radagast Brown is a huge fan, too, and would definitely join.

Here's a clip of the upcoming cast additions. As you can see, Dorne, the Martells, and the Sand Snakes are going to play a major part next season:

I didn't think Joe was referring to you as there is nothing indicating such.

As for underrated baseball players, I heartily agree with Rendon. I, however, did not underrate him: I put him on a long-term contract in my fantasy league!

Others

Brian Dozier. Although he's fallen off as late, he's had an incredibly good offensive season from a position not known for that.
Denard Span. Stealing bases and scoring runs. And he makes patrolling center field look easy.
Jake Arrieta. The best pitcher on a bad team is often overlooked. 2.81 ERA / 1.06 WHIP says it all.

SLOT, I told you I would retract if Mr. Bob said he hadn't thought I had been rude and wasn't referring to me. There was no need to continue this after I answered your question. However, since you are so sure he wasn't referring to me, I will tell you why I think he was, and why there was evidence indicating so.

1. LMBombers took a swipe at me in a post on this thread.
2. I immediately followed that post with a response with a swipe back at him
3. Mr. Bob immediately followed that post with a very short, vague description of a show about a doctor "who's extremely rude with everyone he interacts with."
4. He did so after his previous post and previous post to me accused me of being too "angry."

I, and others who know about Mr. Bob's previous problems with me, can logically infer he was referring to me as well. If you or others, knowing this information don't agree, I have no interest debating you. Believe what you want. As I said twice now, if Mr. Bob says he never thought I had been rude to others, and wasn't referring to me, I'm fine with that.

I'm removing myself from this thread now. I wanted to give everybody a fun thread about baseball and TV. Apparently some of you would rather talk to or about me on non-topic issues. Hopefully, everybody else can just enjoy the forum
and talk TV and baseball.

P.s. If you have further things to say on this matter, please PM me.

Two more great shows:

Homicide. I think of this as the predecesor to the superior Wire but still a excellent show in it's own right.
West Wing. Best show about the presidency, hands down. Great characters. Perhaps ran a season or two past it's prime.

Dan Haren gets a most underrated vote from me. He's won 10+ games for the last 10 years and has a lifetime 141-121 record. Not bad for a guy who rarely makes the headlines.

I like both Arrieta and Rendon, but I wouldn't call them underrated. Until this season, Arrieta spent the last 3-4 years being awful, so his great season this year deserves praise, but I wouldn't call him underrated yet.

Same with Rendon, he's still a rookie, having a very good season.

I think of underrated guys as the one's who've been excelling for at least a few seasons, and hardly get any praise or media.

My vote would go to a guy like Tori Hunter, keeps throwing together high quality seasons, yet seemingly gets overlooked unless the Angels are on a national game of the week...and then Trout and Pujols get the headlines anyway.

Haha...good points. Maybe I'm the one who's under rating him!
