New York's Team of the Future: Yankees or Mets?

Yeah, the trade was finalized, and they did get Uribe and Johnson without giving up much: Rhp John Gant and Rhp Rob Whalen. Gant wasn't even among their 2015 top 30 prospects and was struggling at AA Binghamton. Whalen, who doesn't throw hard, was only their 20th prospect and was doing OK in HiA.

Both Uribe and Johnson were having solid years in Atlanta, are professional hitters, and can play numerous positions. So, they strengthened their everyday lineup and their bench. I'm sure Alderson isn't finished, or at least he shouldn't be. Supposedly other teams are interested in talented Ss prospect Amed Rosario and he's loathe to give him up. Considering they also have Cecchini, I'm not sure why. If they do trade for Upton (who would be a perfect fit) as rumored, they would have to sign him to an extension justifying giving up one of their big 5. I'm just not sure Upton would be up for that.

A professional hitter? Cannot wait for the definition of this one.

Uribe/Johnson play multiple position - yeah as defense liabilities, Uribe doesn't play D at 3b like he use to and Johnson has never been better than average at any position.

Syndergaard just had a perfect game broken up in the top of the seventh. He was at 80 pj he's and I gotta think Terry Collins as actually relieved he gave up a hit so he could bring in the pen if he has too. No way they wanted Thot going 110 pitches or more.

The future looks pretty bright too with that pitching staff. Will be interesting to see what the FO does about Murphy after his ridiculously hot post season and Cespedes, without whom we would not have had a post season.
