Plus there are a dozen relievers over $5 mil. Could be a strange season...

I have been noticing that trend for a while now. I think the defense is overpriced and been going up. They are heading in the wrong direction with that one

Where have you been. They’ve been pricing fielding that way for years. The problem is players don’t hits for average anymore so the offense isn’t as good.

It looks like your getting closer to your decade long wish, Bill. Give everyone a card.

Bill, Terry has been around for 15+ years and runs multiple Keeper Leagues. For both of you: how do you determine, in such a short time, how SOM is pricing fielding?

For Bellinger, I'd say over half his salary is defense. Hell, may$2 for fielding and $1 for everything else!

Hey Bob, at first glance, I tend to look at the hitters' cards at salaries of $5 mil or higher. And I have an expectation that almost all of those will have OPS of at least .800.

As it turns out, further review of the unleashed card sets confirms my earlier statement about the new set. It also confirms Bill's statement about the trend over time.

2019 card set has 78 hitters at $5 mil or more, including 5 with OPS less than .800, or 6%
2020 card set has 74 hitters at $5 mil or more, including 11 with OPS less than .800, or 15%
2021 card set has 75 hitters at $5 mil or more, including 13 with OPS less than .800, or 17%
2022 card set has 78 hitters at $5 mil or more, including 22 with OPS less than .800, or 28%
