I think Paul is right about Washington. there would probably have to be a redraft. I don't want them, and they do not have any effect on my team, so I would stay with Chicago at number 2.

a suggestion since we're all vets here, and eleven played in last league. since there's no trading in this league, anyone else for setting max active salary at 100 million, but setting cap higher, 120 to 140 million to allow moves with minor leaguers? again, total value of roster could never exceed 100m

Sorry guys... busy weekend.

I screwed up and forgot about WSH.

MY BAD.

I had them down on a piece of paper, but somehow missed including them.

I'm fine with my Mets. If the majority is fine with keeping their team, we can proceed.

Does anyone wanna take MEAT's advice and increase the salary cap to make moves, if needed, during the season?

Of course the cap value CANNOT be over $100m.

I'm not in favor of this, but not strongly so I'll sheepishly go along with whatever everyone else wants. Using a Mystery set you need more cap space to make transactions because you aren't sure what you're getting with each player, but when you know what each card is like you shouldn't have to make a tons of moves. Setting the FA Drop Penalty at 5% as we've done should be enough.

I'm against it too...not a bad idea, but never in favor of changing rules post-draft

I feel the same as keyzick. don't mind the rule, just don't like changing anything post draft....in case someone does mind it.

I went ahead and created the league: 07-14 Franchise League Part II
PW is "07-14V2"
It's a $100M cap, but if the group wants higher it can be changed.
I set it to Frenzy instead of Waivers, since every team is working from a closed player pool.

Don't think higher cap would work anyway. There's no way we can stop HAL from using guys on our roster even if we don't want them used.
