365 has been released the first week of March for over 10 years in a row and I think in 2012 it was the end of February. So why would this year be any different. Let's Go guys release the 2020 season already!

I think it's taking longer because you have two sets - actual and imagined - to set pricing for. I can see a little extra review involved with the actual set trying to determine the player pool.

Last year there were 499 hitters. To get that this year you need to go down to 16 ab's. Pitcher were 454 and would need to go down to 12 innings. Smaller number of ab's & innings creates more drastic performance swings and more discussion on how to price.

I’m thinking that the Company had their hands full with the hack, and doesn’t want to release the new set until they can securely handle the rush of credit purchases that will follow.

I hope they are not waiting until they figure out salaries for both variants. I'll play whichever one they have ready first.

Maybe they just wanted to get the payment processing settled first before inducing the next wave of purchases.

Interesting thought artie that could be the reason, but they did announced that they had the security situation resolved, purchases would be through PAYPAL or Amazon. A real shame to be honest. Security needs to be the number one priority for companies dealing with online purchases. Hacker are relentless.

got a letter from them that said the hack was fixed and had some sort of security certificate by the dudes who fixed it...

the waiting is the hardest part....

I posted this on 3/4 and still stand by this:

My thoughts on the 2020 season and not that it should be shocking. I can see SOM using the Imagined Set as the leashed and the actual played season as unleashed. This way they would not have to reprogram any injury scenarios into the leashed set. All unleashed players would then be able to get 15 game injuries.

Well, if the Pandemic has taught me anything it is keep things in perspective. A month later than normal isnt that big of a deal to me. You know, there are downsides to almost everything in life. When I do find things that give a lot of enjoyment...I tend to be reluctant to give them up when the downsides occur. Good things are not easily replaceable. I try to keep that in mind through this difficult time Strat is having and the mistakes they make
