Not that I'm a fan, but Rick Springfield was more than a 1 hit wonder. Jesse's girl was his biggest hit but far from his only one. "I've Done Everything For You" hit number 8 on the Billboard charts off the same album and he had a number 2 hit on billboards charts a few years later with "Don't Talk to Strangers"

I'd substitute: "99 luftballons" by Nena or "Betty Davis Eyes" by Kim Carnes for Mr Springfield, just off the top of my head.

Yeah, I (blissfully) forgot about "I've Done Everything For You." It's just "jesse's Girl was such a better song than all his others, and--unlike IDEFY--has lasted as an enduring classic. 99 luftballoons--particularly the original German version and Bette Davis Eyes were great one-hit wonders and would be excellent "members" on such a list.

How about football instead? Kiko Alonso for LeSean McCoy. Alonso is a very promising linebacker and with running backs getting drafted lower and lower lately, the Bills may have overpaid.

I'm sure he's an expert on that too.

I don't have time to address all of your list Niners, so I edited it down to my favorites. I believe you and I were both in high school in the mid-80's, so we both know how huge Take On Me was. My senior-year girlfriend played it to death. Come on Eileen was a little earlier, but I'll still catch myself singing to it's silly chorus when it comes on. Closing Time is an excellent song and was one of my favorites of the late 90's. I have no idea what happened to Semisonic.

As to Afternoon Delight, I actually thought that song was about ice cream when I was a kid. Now it just makes me think of Arrested Development and Micheal Bluth's extremely awkward duet with his niece, Maeby...
