Does SOM typically base it on # of GS (30+) or IP (200+) to get the *? I've noticed some guys were <200 IP but were over 30 GS so wasn't sure.

I believe it is based on 30 starts, not innings pitched. 200 or more innings pitched means the guy will not miss a start if injured. 199.2 and he can miss up to 15 games which means 5 starts at the max. That would take a roll of 20 to hit the that. I have played over 20 teams and pitchers just don't get injured much at all.

It's a scale. I don't think they've ever published the exact numbers but if pitcher is 30+ starts they can also be slightly under 200 innings and still get *
