Check out Garcia's Blog regarding Manager Ratings. They have finally made the steps to get them restored. That has been the top issue for quite some time. For all of us who had teams from 2001 and beyond, our teams are now available in the archives. Hopefully, the ratings and overall records will be back soon.

I thought the top issue was to bring back the 1969 game. :?

Geeze and for me it was adding a setting to make the inverse lineups more usable.

Guess we all have differeing opinions.

I'll 2nd that restoring the manager ratings and stats were/are my top issues. More than the ratings, the actual manager stats are what I have been waiting for. The ratings are weighted to the number of teams you have $$, but the stats are the stats..

Manager ratings meant nothing to me. If I gave any thought to quality of my opposition it was to look at their championship to number of teams ratio. 3 in 9 tries was more impressive than 10 in 900 or whatever. But even that could be deceptive. There are many great managers out there who are capable of winning in any given league but their numbers get pulled down because most of the time they are running a theme of some kind.

So for me manager ratings are at the bottom of any priority list. Anything and everything that gives me more control or improves the logic of HAL is high priority. So bullpen improvement would be high as would the extra setting for making the normal verses reverse lineup changeover controllable and not just one side or the other of even.

Could not have said it better myself.

I really don't get the fascination with the manager ratings, but that's what makes the world go 'round.

I'm all for improving the game and a lot of good things have been added. Though the competition is a big part of Strat's appeal... Strat, for me, is mostly about statistics.

Manager stats provide a way to measure myself against the competition, and I want my accomplishments "stats" out there for others to see and for me to crow about ;) . I'll chose to ignore those sub 70 win seasons though

Now if they could only fix the way HAL handles the pitching staff....
