Have Dunn on my Miller Park team and am looking at playin him at first base. I know general rule says don't play a 5 anywhere but any thoughts on just how much he will hurt me at first base or will what he gives me in offense easily cover it???

I don't know if this is a recommendation or not, but I chose to use Ortiz at 1b in 2011 (5e18) in a no-DH league (PC finals). Not sure if it's smart or not - the team is 20-19, Ortiz has hit really well. He's had 10 x-chart opportunities in 39 games and made just 2 outs. So 8 base hits or errors or both. But he's hit .291 .392 .560. If a normal 1b might have allowed 3 hits or errors in 10 opportunities, then it's cost me about 5 hits or errors so far in 39 games, or about 1 every 8 games.

I would tend to say playing Dunn at first is NOT worth it, more because I don't love his card offensively. The 5's I would consider playing in the field in 2012 are: Papi, Billy Butler, Josh Willingham. That's it. But if you really love Dunn's card, I guess you could play him there.

I just cut him in Progressive where I was using him at 1B. It was a $110 league and I found myself with no good options. I only needed him to bat eighth and slug once in a while, but he was awful. Might be a little better at $80.

It is a $80 league but I ended up not using him. Not hearing much on the positive side concerning him!
