I went with a buddy to the Dodgers/Nats game last night.

We had great seats, about 20 rows up, behind the on deck circle.

Adam LaRoche fouls one off and initially I'm thinking it's going over our heads.

But soon realize, it's coming right at me.

I stand up, peanut bag goes flying, and I attempt a Mays basket catch.

Ball hits my hands, and pops out, landing in a guys hands a few seats away.

Last time I came close to a ball was 25 years go @ Shea. Strawberry hit one into a crowd 3 seats over from me.

so is your hand ok you little pansy.

Yea a friend of my dad's has season tickets to the Angels. Right at 1B, the very front row just above the field (so only an ailse in front), nice seats. Been using those seats for some games for 20+ years, never seen a ball so close as 10 feet of me.

First time I went to a Ducks game, sitting behind the goal up about half the rows, and in the first 3 minutes a puck goes flying and almost hits my (at the time) fiance in the head. At least she paid attention the rest of the game!

Had tickets to the Saltdogs our independent team here in Lincoln 3 rows up from the home on deck circle. My boss wanted to move from behind the netting because it was bothering him. Told him we drink too much risk it :D

Was at a Brewers/Angels game in Milw and the Angels were in the outfield warming up as I was filling in my scorecard for the game and looked up just in time to see a ball that Brian Downing ( yes I am that old) had thrown in my direction. Dropped my stuff just in time to get my hands up and have the ball bounce outta my hands and land couple rows back. Needless to say I have always waited to fill in scorecard just as game starts from that moment on haha
