If my first waiver pick is gone... does my second pick become my first pick? Example... lets say I want Brandon Inge for my first waiver... and someone picks him up before my turn... does my second waiver of Ray Oyler become my first pick? Thanks for your help.

No it does not. If you miss your first waiver pick you have to wait until the second round

I am not sure about that, I think if you miss on your first pick, your second pick DOES become your first pick. But I could be wrong, even though I am pretty sure I am right.

I think you are right Rich, that would be a lot more fair I think. I believe I was misinterpreting the rules, which are a bit vague

When the Waivers Period ends, our system will automatically process all claims via the following method. All teams will take turns, in Waiver Priority order. On each team's turn:

That team will win the rights to their highest-ranked Claim.
If the player claimed fits on the team's roster, the team will assume ownership of him.
A player "fits" on a roster if all salary considerations and position requirements are met, assuming the player designated to be dropped in this claim, if any, was dropped.
If the team designated a player to be dropped in the event this claim was won, that player will be dropped.
All claims by any other teams on this same player will be cancelled.
If the player claimed does NOT fit on the team's roster, the claim will be cancelled. The team's turn is over; it does not get the chance to win another claim until its next turn in the order.
If the player designated to be dropped in the claim is no longer on the team at the time of claim processing, the pickup of the claimed player will still be attempted.
If a team has lost out to another team on a previous claim, the lost claim will not count as a claim to be processed.

The rule does appear a bit vague to me too. But I know I missed on my first choice in my most recent waiver draft but I wound up with my second or third choice in the first round of waivers.

In waivers it is a list. If the first pick is taken it moves to the 2nd. If that pick is taken it moves to the third. You will only get who is on your list.

The only issue is if you try to make a move that is not allowed (i.e. not enough money, trying to get too few pitchers, or too few Catchers, etc) then it will try, fail, and you essentially have lost that rounds pick.

I'm fairly sure that if your first pick is gone before your 1st turn in waivers comes up, then your 2nd pick will be made in first round--IF YOU QUALIFY MONEY WISE--. Sometimes losing your first pick before your 1st chance will also cause you to miss the 2nd on your list because you do not have the available funds--especially if you wanted to trade down money wise with your first waiver pick---I have missed a first pick and got the second pick on my list in the first round---I was about 10th on waiver list and made sure I had enough funds for my second choice at same position if I missed.
