Separate Coors discussion, the sub 15 mil staff approach

PostSun Jul 07, 2013 12:02 pm

About to start the season, This one is $14.42: http://onlinegames.strat-o-matic.com/team/1108662

This one is 46-35 so far, at $15.33: http://onlinegames.strat-o-matic.com/team/1106615

Any lower that actually had success? And thoughts on how to pitch in Coors....?

I am a firm believer in 7 rp on the max 1 inning quick hook, and starters on the 6 inning max quick hook, then not setting roles in the pen other than closer (maximum). It would be nice to not have an entire bullpen of rp1's, but still possible.

I like them both. :D
To win in Coors, one must out hit the other team.

I think your spending to much on pitching. ;) Here's a team in my division at 8.62.

You had better hope the Morgan and Hart hit many HR's on this team. With Votto and Stanton on the DL it will be tough to over come. I have read many postings of Votto coming off the DL just to go right back on. I played in one league where he went down on his first AB followed by my next team where he went down again on his first AB. The other guy dropped him after going down again and again.

Good luck as it looks as though you are looking for runs over wins. Many players will crush in a hitters park and spending that much on players that can go down for up to 15 games isn't a plan for success IMHO.

PROVE ME WRONG AND WIN IT ALL!

Can't agree more. Injury prone players work much better in a $200 league than in an $80 one. I'll rarely have a player over $5 that is injury prone. I've seen it work, but more often it does not.

I'm interested to see how it plays out. RPs tend to get fatigued as the season progresses.
