Just did a live draft. Check out my first four hitters:
1 Cobb, Ty (1911) (L) CF 1(-1)e9 .420 .467 .621
2 Jackson, Joe (1911) (L) RF 1(-3)e6 .408 .468 .590
3 Sisler, George (1920) (L) 1B 1e12 .407 .449 .632
4 Hornsby, Rogers (1924) (R) 2B 2e20 .424 .507 .696
I'll probably come in last place.

must be the batting order? That can't be the order you drafted them in?

I think it was Hornsby(4th), Cobb, Sisler then Jackson. I was trying to draft guys who hit .400 for a pitchers park team.

You probably will not do well in this league at all. You may be saved from 4th but only by having Divad's team in your division. Jackson is a platoon player who usually goes five rounds later. Normally Sisler goes in the 5th. Helton was a really bad pick by you in the fifth. He's a Coors creation and grossly overpriced. You already had Sisler and a better dh in Thompson down the road. Delahanty in the 5th would have helped so much more than Helton. And Lajoie plays better than Hornsby in your probable small ball park. 4th is just not a good drafting spot for small ball teams as the top six picks are all suited more for bomber teams, and guys like Duffy are almost always gone by the time round 2 rolls around for you. I routinely win with smallball at 200M caps but it's harder at live drafts, especially if anyone else is going small. You have 3 teams probably going small, and that just thins out the small ball talent too much. You also have no bullpen and just average starting pitching. Not a recipe for success at an unlimited live ATG draft.

I used to hold my own with you Live Draft ATG sharks and won a few leagues, but it has been a few ATG's ago since I last played or participated in an ATG league or live draft. Also, after an initial 200x live draft with a two minute time limit, that clock seemed like it was flying. The combination of some guys picking very quick, the short clock and my rustiness left me scrambling a few times. Helton was bad..........forgot I already had Sisler in my panic to pick that round and 1B running out. Delahanty is one of the guys I am unfamiliar with. Tough crowd when I have only one sub-.372 guy in my lineup vs RH and I'm written off before the season starts. My HOF catcher only hit .350. How much bullpen do you need when your park is 3-3/1-1? 3-3/1-1 + mediocre pitching = 1st in ERA. See you in the semi's
OK, maybe not.

I used to hold my own with you Live Draft ATG sharks and won a few leagues, but it has been a few ATG's ago since I last played or participated in an ATG league or live draft until last week. Also, after an initial 200x live draft with a two minute time limit, that clock seemed like it was flying. Loved Lajoie, but tough to take him at number four, which like you said, is not the ideal. Got "stuck" with Mantle at #4 in my first try and did not want to go that route again. The combination of some guys picking very quick, the short clock and my rustiness left me scrambling a few times. Helton was bad..........forgot I already had Sisler in my panic to pick that round and 1B running out. Delahanty is one of the guys I am unfamiliar with.
