It seems like for two years in a row now Andrew McCutchen is overpriced in relation to Mike Trout and much of the rest of the set. Does anyone else agree, or are their people who think McCutchen is a better bargain?

They are pretty close.
McCutchen is much better vs LHP, Trout better vs RHP, but not clearly as far ahead as McCutchen is in vs LHP.
I rate McC vs L 140, Trout a 91. vs RHP McC a 94, Trout a 117. Overall, McC a 116, Trout a 118.
Of course everyone here knows it's easier to get guys to kill LHP cheap, so we all prefer Trout. But if you can enough RHP killers else where, McC isn't bad.

Thanks for the feedback, Geekor.. Maybe it was last year that McCutchen really seemed priced high in relation to Trout. At least this year Trout is more expensive.

I don't think McCutchen is out of line at all. Last year in particular I would prefer Trout for the reasons you mention. This year, however, there's a big salary gap so it will depend on the makeup of the rest of your team.
My rating this year, overall, not just hitting so we're including running and fielding are as follows:
Trout: 1165/1099
McCutchen 1352/984
Last year
Trout: 984/1182
McCutch: 1309/1046
As you can see, last year, I had them pretty close. This year McCutch isn't as good v RHP, but he's not chopped liver either.

Joe, how much do you charge for your player rankings? I have looked at your web-site but I am still a bit confused. I have purchased both SOM's ratings and Lamana's ratings in the past. Money is pretty tight for me or I would not hesitate. I am just curious how much for the player rankings for the most recent set? Do you sell a hard copy, or just a download and do I need to own Microsoft's excel to view the download properly? Thanks and thanks for your reply on McCutchen.

HI Radagast,
If it's one of my "canned" or pre-made parks then it's $19.50
The parks for 2013 are: Average Park, Coors, AT&T, Rogers, Progressive
If you want a different park or any "fixed" numbers for a park then it's $24.50
Same prices for ATG, but I have more canned parks there.
I have only sold excel files in the past. There is a free viewer if you don't have Excel. I can find the link again if you want.
If you have more questions, why don't you contact me at joethejet at iwon dot com and we can chat more in depth. I'd also like to hear from you how the web site is confusing so I can make it not confusing!
If you want, I'll send you (and limited number of others) a copy of last year's average park so you can get a feel for what the ratings give you.

Ok thanks! I guess your website is not confusing, I was just a little confused. I am probably going to pass on buying your service for this season, or at least at this time, but I will definitely keep it in mind. I think it is worth the money, I just would probably rather spend that 20 to 25 bucks on another credit to play in more leagues (I am on a tighter budget than in years past). Thanks much!

Ok. Glad the site was OK.
I sent you a PM with an idea. Let me know what you think.
