Just remembering this (about 10 years ago) when checking out my past teams. At one point early in the season I lost 18 of 21 games....18-33 record in last place at one point,....then constantly tweaking the team to win my division by 4 games,...and I made so many deals, my team was valued at 67k at the end (starting at 80k)....my final deals were made to get some better matchups against the teams I expected to meet in the playoffs in mind.

The team took 7 of 9 Postseason games - sweeping the World Series, outscoring my opponent by 17 runs (my MVP and another starter even missed the final game). The losing team had 91 wins and a plus-run margin over 100 runs better than mine (the team didn't change any of its roster through the whole season).

The Lesson: Never give up on your team and your abilities to alter their destiny. It's not always about how good your players are overall - but how they MATCH UP against their rivals.

By far the most shocking upset team I've ever had in over 10 years of playing online Strat!

Anyone else have any Amazing teams that accomplished the nearly impossible?

I also went 80-82 in a pre draft league. At one time I lost 20 out of 27. Finished the season with 6 wins to get in. Lost the first game 2-0 then swept the next 8 to win the Championship. 14-1 to end it. I like to think they under achieved during the season.

Also amazing that you didn't make any (or many) moves to reshape your team throughout the season. You stuck with the players. Which was the opposite of what I had done!
