I have been real disappointing with Jason Kipnis who I have used and am using on several teams. I understand that because of the level of pitching players will have down years, but I have not gotten a good season out of Kipnis yet. Is anyone else having luck with Kipnis?

I have never used him but I can tell you he kills me everytime I face him no matter who is pitching. Just one of those guys that always seems to hit against me. If I picked him up he would probably hit .220 with a obp under .300 I imagine haha

Not on offense, but his base running and defense is fine. Overall, not worth $6.50, If my team was not doing well I would of moved Galvis to 2B and picked up Zimmeman or someone for 3B.

Because of his balance, I think he is over-priced. My experience is that my hitters typically face RHP about 2/3 of the time, and Kipnis just hasn't gotten it done against them. He also demonstrates the axiom that you can't steal first base, either.

I can't believe we are all in agreement, thanks for the input. I looked at some of your guys teams and you guys have good taste in players... Maybe Kipnis under performs because of his balance being 2L. That 2L also makes it tough to know where to bat him in the order. I have been using him as a leadoff hitter but he definitely way under performs vs. RHP. He did help one of my teams get a championship,... This was the BEST he has done for me:

ps. In my most recent league we are about 60 games into the season and he has 0 HRs. Granted I have been using Fenway which is not a HR park for LHB but he should benefit from the extra singles.

I wouldn't have taken him in an autodraft regular league, but I am playing the Indians in a "draft a team" league.

Disappointing season for the money.

vs. L - 110 29 10 0 2 7 14 35 .264 .347 .409
vs. R - 278 78 13 0 7 24 37 72 .281 .367 .403
Pretty good so far in Progressive. I think you hit the nail on the head with the 2L leading to some underachievement.
