Jose Fernandez sitting at 22-2 after 132 games. Unfortunately, he only has 5 starts left but wondered if anyone has pulled this off since a non * SP can get 33 starts in a season.

Never seen it since 2001 set or in any other set. Highly unlikely.

Kris Medlen went 25-4 for me in the 2012 set. He was strictly a starter, I suppose in theory he could also relieve and win 30, but I don't know how to pull that off and didn't want to fatigue him.

Possible for one to be 33-0, if I have done my math right and the pitcher only starts. It would be quite a feat.

Assuming 33 starts, no relieving...
Assume a starter has 60 percent chance to win a game (i.e., not lose and not no-decision):
I estimate you have less than 1 chance in 20 million of going 33-0.
Assume a starter only has a 50 percent chance to win any given game and those odds drop to less than 1 in 4 billion.
I think.
Excel cut & paste:
0.6^33 = 4.7752E-08
0.5^33 = 1.16415E-10
Can someone please check my estimates?!

Coyote giving values to the term "quite a feat."

Cool work. I will trust your math!

Jose Fernandez finishes 26-4 with me holding him out of his last start so that I can start him twice in the playoffs. So he might have finished 27-4 with that last start. Pretty sweet for a non*

A 25 and 28 game winner on the same team...ok, so they're *SPs...impressive anyway...
