I was just looking at Kole's numbers from 2013:
Overall
.282 BA, .347 OBP, .462 SLG

which matches the numbers on his strato card. However, when you break down the LH and RH numbers, they look like this:

vs. LHP .340 BA, .389 OBP, .500 SLG
vs. RHP .262 BA, .333 OBP, .448 SLG

With numbers like that, you'd expect Kole to have a balance of maybe 3L or 4L. However, he has a balance of 1R!

Any comments on this? I know he only had 50 ABs against LHP in 2013, but I've seen strato cards with way less than this reflected much more accurately in strato.

Is this a mistake?

Cheers,
SP

Nope, they screwed him on purpose.

Sometimes a card can be labeled as a 3L as in this case but maybe have more on base to right handers and more power to lefties or vice versa. I am not sure what they use to determine balance to either side but I have seen cards with a 2,3 or 4 balance but I would rather use them to the other side due to more power or more on base depending on my ballpark choice.
