This reminds me. I seriously need to find a way to improve my middle infield defense. My current double play combo is leading the league in errors!

Code: Select all
 ---------ERRORS--------
 N.Garciaparra TBB    14
 C.Baerga      TBB    13

Ninersphan,
Thanks for sharing. Great reading as I watch the snow fall, waiting for news of pitchers and catchers reporting.

Good stuff! I wish SOM on-line would get rid of the clutch nonsense, now I see I am not alone.

Good read, thanks Bill. And Richard, I agree with you about the clutch ratings.

Clutch would be okay if it wasn't limited to two outs. Then it could effectively be used an an RBI-adjuster, which is what it is essentially now. However, since it only takes place with two outs, it means some crazy swings between someone's average depending if there are two outs--swings so great that it can't possibly be realistic. So (if it wasn't limited to two outs), hitters with a SINGLE-horseshoe on 8, 9, and 10 would only have the horseshoe on a 9. Not so bad.
