After 10 minutes looking at cards.

Who will spend $10.70 MIL on a broken glass SS in a $100MIL league or less.

Just like last year and the year before that and the year before that Kershaw will be a pig again this year. He will be wearing more lipstick but a pig never the less.

I am excited to watch Kershaw give up beach ball fastballs and Tulo go down like a lady of the time after dinner. (family site and all).

My first impressions is the price of defense + obp went up.

My comparison is Kemp vs Puig.

Kemp has better Slugging and HR on both sides. Puig has more OBP vs LHP, slightly more vs RHP, and of course the better defense.

TBH, I would much rather have Kemp at his price than over 3 million more for the 2(-5).

It looks like you will pay much more for the defense.

Injury also as the 1st 28 players are 1 or 0 except for Tulo and Goldschmidt at 4 and Turner at 2. That's $12MIL to $7.52.

SP is a 4 man rotation train wreck. After the 1st 12 you go under $5MIl and drop like a rock. The $80MIL league will end like the 3 hour baseball game.

Mostly just checking my keeper league team but this game is expensive.

I got numbers on that guy that just stink. He gives up homeruns and losses faster than Obama can read a teleprompter!

It looks to me like a change in the relative values, with good pitchers being much more available at lower salaries and the few decent hitters being much more expensive.

Can you say "pitching rules"?!?

Agreed...and for Kershaw, he completely kicked ass for me in the 2013 set...would be happy if everyone let me have him again this year... :)

No complaints with Kershaw last year, however you lose 8 starts with this year's card,

uggh, I had him as top priority and still didn't get him. my draft was a debacle, losing out on Kershaw, a dh, and 5 position starters. at least that means I'm reading the cards better.

Funny.
I use to be in a theme league where you stole a player from another team. I was always the last player taken and the other guy would complain that he didn't want any of my players and didn't want to take one.

After awhile I started doing pretty good against those guys.

You are on the way!
