story behind twinsfan who is actually a Cardinals fan...

FYI if anyone was curious...

There is a reason why I'm "twinsfan" on the boards, though I'm a died-in-the-wool Cardinals fan since the days of Ozzie Smith, Vince Coleman, Willie McGee and company. It's what happens when your girlfriend offers to buy you 10 strat credits for your birthday, but you have to take the name twinsfan because she's from Minneapolis. ;)

Very cool, that is a good way for her to also enjoy watching your teams success.

Too bad that some classless juvenile feels the need to insult you, her and the entire community with the immature name calling, by calling you twitman in another post. I guess some people can't outgrow the sixth grade. If she ever meets that little man that called you that, I hope she knocks him out. (If he is over 18)

Here is a new angle. Twins fan can imply, fan of two teams. :)

I'm not hung up on anything, Twitman; I'm just stating a clear fact.

For a man, Bedjam is quite the drama queen.

Speaking of the sixth grade, he clearly has a schoolgirl crush. As he has proven many times before, he just can't stop talking about me. Twins and I are cool now. He called me "Stretcher," and I called him "Twitman" in return. That's just the way things work. Nobody knows that better than Bedjam... ;)

Good luck on your league, Twins.

Great story! Of course, we all now know your price!

I didn't feel the 'twitman' comment was necessary either, sort of juvenile, but some people get a little worked up defending their egos, it's the weay of things... as long as it's not too disrespectful, I just forgive and move on ;)

"Stretcher" was just a typo! I was wondering why you spit the venom my way a little, makes more sense now. ;)
Just a misunderstanding, no harm - no foul either way, I enjoy debating with you.

Are you in the St. Louis area, twinsfan?
I'm just southwest of the city, hankering for spring, and getting rid of this snow!!!
I've been a Cardinal fan since the twilight years of my screen name-sake.

I actually grew up in Richmond, VA, so with football I'm a Redskins fan as would be expected, but for some reason while I was growing up I gained an attachment to the St. Louis Cardinals. I have a friend who lives in St. Louis and I'm going to try to visit him this summer and catch a Cardinals game at Busch Stadium. :)

Definitely no harm, no foul...and I believe you. However, since many people have either done it purposefully or made similar typos, I decided I'd start either returning the favor or discouraging future typos. I enjoy debating with you as well, and look forward to debating you and playing with you in future leagues.

strether, When someone types your name correctly in a post it gets autocorrected to stretcher. Unless the person notices that and goes back to correct it it will appear as stretcher. I'm not sure if you had realized that before or not. It is not always a slight towards you. It may just be someone not noticing the autocorrect of the name to stretcher.
