Catcher blocking
Posted: Mon Apr 20, 2015 6:07 pmAny knows for sure if Strat-on-line still uses this rule? With the new MLB rules about blocking, perhaps STRAT has withdrawn the catcher's blocking rule.
Here is what I got from CD #5, which dates back to, what, 2000? but I have not been up to date since.
Catcher Blocking the Plate. Q: How do I know if this rule is turned on?. Ans: This option is not part of the maximum rules. It is part of the super-advanced rules. If you use the super-advanced rules, or the super-advanced rules with bk/wp/pb, you automatically use this new feature. That is true even if you don't use any of the maximum rules. I think the only way not use to use the catcher blocking the plate feature is to use the advanced, rather than the super-advanced rules.
