Just got the latest email blast from a competing baseball sim company. Key things I noticed,
FIVE platforms supported (Windows, Mac, Linux, Droid (via Google Play), iOS (via App Store))
Official MLB and MiLB licensee
YouTube channel tutorials
Full function free trial download
Granted the game engine is not as detailed, but they have definitely stayed current with their platforms and marketing, understanding how the next generation buys/evaluates games and where they want to play them (mobile devices, mac, linux).
Glen Head could follow the lead set by their competitor!
My baseball gaming dollars still go to SOM, but boy would it be nice to have platform choices. Since I use a Mac, I pay a $50 surcharge yearly to stay supported on VM Fusion so I can run Windows 7, basically just for SOM.

Not to mention the revenue...how many apps do you see taking in $20 a team? I obviously gladly pay it, yet you'd think they'd be making a killing relative to the plethora of free apps out there.

SOM online is hardly just an app with secondary sources of revenue. It's an on-line fantasy game service serving its customer every day for up to 67 days, which--at $20 per team--is only about 30-33 cents a day. So, they're hardly raking it in for every team.

Please share with us some of those apps that are completely free and provide comparable services to SOM. Maybe my daughter could be interested in one of them.

You're the one who made the dubious claim. Now it is clearly dubious because you can't back it up. You clearly don't know any apps that are completely free and provide comparable services to SOM.

I'll end this now rather than continue wit another one of your trolling games. Can't deal with a man (or woman?) who hides behind an online persona. You've done a good job destroying yet another thread. Congrats

I'm not trolling and I don't hide behind a persona. I have an alias just like you and almost every poster on this thread. You made the dubious claim there are hundreds of apps completely free that provide comparable services to SOM. When I asked you to provide them, you refused to do so. So, it is clear you do not know of any such apps.
That is not destroying a thread; it is merely questioning your now clearly questionable claim.

This is not the place to discuss other online sites that may compete with SOM online. Thanks keyzick for not falling into that trap.
