The past week there has been nearly zero activity in 2014 leagues forming: no auto leagues and there are several 80 and 100 mil leagues that no one has joined... seems very strange to me.

For me, SOM Online runs a cycle and this is the downside of the cycle. Now it is football season for me.

What's sad is there are probably 20 guys out there waiting for a league to get up to 8 or 9 teams before they jump in!

Waiting for the next card set, this one was challenging for me. Sticking in ATG and Mystery until the new card set launches.

This is prime fantasy football draft time...tough enough to multi-task work, real life, and SOM...adding football is like tearing a hole in the space time continuum!

This cycle repeats every year. By this time the 200x game is getting old. Or at least the frequent players have tried most of their usual variations. They have either won one or more titles or ready to give up. This is the time of year when they turn their attention to their fantasy football team. There can be a lot to that. I only do fantasy baseball now after winning my only run in fantasy football. But I spend a lot of time preparing for that each year. If taken seriously you have to research all the teams. Not much time left to start and follow a strat team.
But by Thanksgiving most will have drafted their team and pretty much have their rosters set. Not many surprised after that in football. Just a matter of keeping up with injuries which is not that difficult since games are only played once a week. So ATG and the mystery games will see more action. The 200x games however usually do not make a strong bounce back until the new set arrives.
