And do you think both will be 1's in Strat for many years to come?

According to Fangraphs, Lindor is better, by quite a bit, but both are below many others. Lindor is 8th, Russel is 9th.

Simmons is still first, and with his reputation, will keep his 1. Hechevarria, B Crawford (both 1's in the past) are 2 and 3, and will more likely to be 1's. Next is Nick Ahmed,Didi Gregorius, Alcides Escobar and J.J. Hardy. With Dide, JJ and Alcides being 1's already, they should keep theirs.

Again, SOM rarely gives 1's to rookies. So no idea on Ahmed, Lindor or Russel, but I would bet on the other 6 to get 1's before those 3.

BTW, Tulo is 10th and still a better bet to be 1 than any rookie.

One of my minor grumbles about SOM, with the new metrics available for fielding, I would prefer they used that info instead of a subjective round table assessment. It's a staple of the brand though, so it won't be changed.

Well, 10 votes is hardly conclusive, but it does appear that Lindor is the favorite. I think they are both fantastic and really can't choose (which is why I did the poll). I think both have a chance to run off a string of many 1 ratings

I haven't looked at any SOM cards/teams to see if this impacts fielding ratings, but would the Cubs outstanding record help push Addison to a 1 in at least one position.

So assuming Lindor is better than Carlos Correa defensively (?) he should definitely be the A.L. Rookie of The Year, right?

As an Indians fan I will be happy if Lindor gets a 2. I seriously doubt he will get a 1 and I would think he could get a 3 before he gets a 1. What will Correa get? What should he get?

Where does one get that info? That would be interesting to see.

Fangraphs chart all the defensive metrics as well as offensive. Great site, especially with the pre-card drafts ;)

off topic, but speaking of rookie shortstops, will cory seager have enough ab's to make the set next year?

If he does he's likely to be unleashed, 113 PA's with his numbers, no way he's in the regular player set for the online game.
