Starting with 2014 set
Unleashed
$100M
DH
10% FA Penalty

Year 1 Draft:

4 round serpentine draft (rd 1 determined by randomized)
Every team must draft 4 half-teams, consisting of 2 hitting and 2 pitching

Round 5:
New randomizer to draft remaining 12 half teams

Everyone will end up with either 3 pitching/2 hitting, or 3 hitting/2 pitching, combos

No trades
You own exclusive rights to your half-team players

2 seasons per year

Stadium must be from one of your half teams, but you can change after each season.

Year 2 and subsequent years:

Once the new card set is introduced, everyone will need to drop back down to a 2 pitching/2 hitting mix. The half team you drop does not have to be the one you picked up in round 5 the previous year.

Ex.: I have 3 pitching/2 hitting, I choose which one of my 3 pitching to drop

The 12 half-teams that are dropped, are then put back into a 1 round draft.
That 1 round draft will be based on the reverse order of total wins from BOTH seasons from the prior year. Ties will be broken based on run-difference. If the still exists, then it will be a coin flip to determine.

If you sign-up, PLEASE realize this is a keeper league, so you must intend on sticking around. I've seen too many franchise keeper leagues go up in smoke due to people not liking the way their franchises shape up in a given year.

Bump - easiest keeper format you can have...and least time consuming. Draft your franchise half team, and you own them for as long as you want. Cubs hitting? Mets pitching? They'll be strong for a while, and can be yours year after year!

So don't drag your feet, sign up now! (I feel like a tv commercial)

I'd advocate for an early start for this league. It would be a good excuse to take some cards out for a roll during the first week of the SOMO release. I'm game for no trades, so this is just a suggestion -- how about single year trades (all rights revert back to the original team after the season ends)?

Stadium has to be one of your half teams....can change each year.

I'm not a big fan of trading in this type of theme, I'd rather have the manager piec together his team by selectively drafting his team's, and try to fill in any blanks with the 5th half team.

I see no need for trades...if you cannot select multi year 1/2 teams that give you what you need...then you picked the wrong teams!
