In my 2015 season it says Mat Latos has allowed 0 out of 6 bp home run opportunities yet in 1 game he let up 3 ballpark homers and they were all off from his card. How is this calculated and is it accurate?

Each ballpark has its own numbers. They are based on a 3 year average for ea h MLB park. What park were you playing in when he gave up the 3 in one game? See if the first six chances came from pitchers parks like San Francisco or Miami and then the game he gave up 3 was Coors or Citizens bank park that makes a little bit of sense. Now it was a bit unlucky to have 3 off his card in one game

If you are asking what determines how many ballpark chances are on a given pitchers card, that's part of Strat's proprietary formula and is determined by the pitchers stats and where he gave up the homers in the actual season.

I think he is saying the MIsc stats show 0 for 6 BP HR allowed, but in a game he gave up 3 of them.

Bugs in the stats compilation on the site?

There's also been threads discussing that dice rolls are wrong or cards are not matching results. Could be another case of that:

Here's one that the game engine thinks that Guidry throws right handed, and a ballpark HR result appears out of nowhere.

I've seen some posts that cite very specific stats as to number of ballpark homers and singles for their team, vs. opponents.....other than going through the play-by-play of every game, is there a way to accurately track that information? Although not really part of this thread, would also be interested in cumulative results of fielding "x" chances.

Thanks!

I'm just trying to figure out how they calculate the Ballpark FX HR vs Opp categories, for both hitters and pitchers

Maybe posting the links will help explain what I mean:

Here is my team, you can see the 0 for 6 BP Homeruns in the sim misc tab
http://365.strat-o-matic.com/team/misc/1425987

Here is the game that he allowed 3 BP Homeruns, all from his card:

That stat is wrong. Ask SOM why that is.

That is definitely a programming glitch, I can't defend this statement at all, but I wonder if the Daily programing is co-mingled with the regular sets somehow.
