OF playing out of position

What happens if a CF with no other position listed on the card gets moved to another OF position (LF,RF) due to an injury.

I have Billy Hamilton as a CF 1e0. If CarGo goes down in a game and Hamilton is put in that spot what is the impact? Is he automatically a 5?

Also if I then keep CarGo in the lineup injured and HAL moves him out (cause he is injured) and puts Hamilton in, is that the same as him going in during a game?

The original board game rules (which I think are the same here) provide that outfielders not rated for an OF position increase one number defensively when shifted to that position. Thus, if Hamilton is your only OFer rated at center and he goes down, a 2-rated LFer or RFer replacing him would become a 3 in CF.

Also, a centerfielder forced to play another outfield position can do so without penalty.
